Eaton’s Vehicle Group, Royal Power Solutions business is currently seeking an Account Manager - Tier 1 to join our team. This position is eligible for remote work if currently located in Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, or Ohio and will require occasional travel to customer sites and Eaton facilities in Mexico, Carol Stream, IL and Metro-Detroit, MI area. It can also be located at an Eaton facility in Michigan or Carol stream, IL. We make the electric revolution work. This position has responsibility of managing a key customer account and the overall day-to-day business relationship between Royal Power Solutions and the Tier 1 customers. Our team is collaborating with companies to innovate the transportation technologies of the future, creating efficient vehicles that travel faster, farther, higher and safer at a lower overall cost to the consumer and the environment. Position Overview: This Account Manager is responsible for supporting the management of key customer accounts and the overall day-to-day business relationship between RPS (Royal Power Solutions) and these key customers. The Account Manager will report to the Commercial Sales Manager (Tier 1) and will be responsible for promoting RPS products and solutions within the assigned territory. The Account Manager will work together with entire RPS Sales & Engineering teams to drive maximum penetration of RPS products across OEM’s & Tiers. In this function you will: Learn RPS products, capabilities and value add options Support New Business developments consisting of Off-the-Shelf, OTS Variants & New Product Developments Foster and develop customer relationships to maintain existing book of business and profitability as well as grow the business Completing, tracking, and following up on RFQ’s, ECR's, SOSR's and follow up with internal operations to ensure on-time response to customers. Drive maximum revenue and profitability in opportunities Understand market / customer potential to influence quote process with supporting data / trends Negotiate and quote customer new business opportunities with support of leadership team Develop and maintain relationships at multiple levels in the customer base for RPS to be strategic, responding to customer inquiries and requests Assist Program / Platform teams in defining requirements, design evaluations, and validation Support or manage weekly Open Issues / Business Development Meetings with Customers Effectively communicate with all other automotive team members to promote the business needs of the territory to foster growth Generate and manage Sales, Opportunities & Forecast Reports When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum five (5) years’ technical sales/account management experience Minimum three (3) years’ experience supporting Tier 1 organizations in the automotive and/or Commercial Vehicle industries Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Technical Field, Engineering or Business from an accredited institution Master’s in Business Administration 2 years commercial experience within power electronics Knowledge of Power Electronics components & technology and electric vehicle architectures Working knowledge of finance including P&L, cost estimating pricing, Internal Rate of Return, Net Present Value, etc. Position Criteria: Excellent negotiating, interpersonal, communication, and strategic planning skills Practical understanding of value-based selling and pricing Demonstrates deep understanding of the industry and organization (customer focus) Broad business acumen, ability to plan and manage execution of business plans Well-developed financial and analytical skillset that includes ability to work with ERP systems, standard costs, financial models, track and negotiate impacts of scope changes, economics, facilitate development of contractual agreements, lead negotiations etc. Demonstrated ability to deal with large amounts of data, manage as needed and consolidate and report critical summaries of the data. Evidence of leadership skills with the ability to develop strong relationships, align with regional business goals, think strategically, adapt to change and develop strategies are critical to this role.
