The duty and responsibility of the Subcontract Administrator is to manage the entire lifecycle of the Subcontract.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

• Be fully knowledgeable with the terms and conditions of the Subcontract.

• Receives, analyse, evaluates and categorize Site Instructions (SI), with feedback from construction and engineering teams.

• Evaluates eligibility of Subcontractor Variation Requests (VR), determines cost in accordance with the Subcontract terms, and ensures agreement with the Subcontractor.

• Issues Contractors Variation Requests.

• Issues Work Orders (WO).

• Verify entitlement of Subcontract Claims, prepares counter-proposals, negotiate with the assistance of the Subcontract Manager.

• Prepares Subcontract Amendments with the assistance of the Subcontract Manager.

• Issues and follow-up Notification of Backcharges.

• Receive, check, log and monitor Bank Guarantees.

• Manages Calls For Bid with Local Companies, from Subcontractor Prequalification to Subcontract Award.

• Issues contractual letters such as: Notification of Delay, Notice of Default, etc.

• Respond to Correspondence Letters, ensures all letters requiring reply are answered.

• Checks Monthly Progress Payments and Invoices.

• Ensures all Vendors used by Subcontractor are included in the Project Vendor List; if required, launches and monitors the Vendor Prequalification process.

• Participates to Commercial Meeting and Weekly Management Meeting with Subcontractor, prepares and manages the MoMs.

• Maintains all the logs updated: SI log, VR/WO log, correspondence log, etc.
