THE JOB

Reporting to the Sports Medicine Manager, the Senior Sport Massage Therapist will be responsible for the following duties:

• To provide sports massage services and training care to scholarship athletes; 
• To act as team leader to monitor and review the daily operation and productivity of the team;
• To provide professional supervision to the subordinates;
• To provide local and overseas on-field support for HKSI scholarship athletes;
• To keep abreast of the up-to-date theory and practice as well as implementing staff training;
• To assist in planning and development of the Centers;
• To liaise with coaches and other technical support professionals on elite athletes’ recovery process; and
• To perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE REQUIREMENTS

• A degree in sports therapy or a relevant discipline;
• A minimum of 4 years’ working experience preferably in relevant practical fields;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
• Able to work in irregular hours and perform under pressure;
• Effective and efficient team player; and
• Awareness/ knowledge of Child Protection in sport and equal opportunity issues in the context of Hong Kong are an added advantage.
