Responsibilities:
? Monitor and provide support for applications owned by the Operations Team including an on call rotation component for 24/7/365 coverage
? Implement new software releases into production working with multiple technology teams
? Develop and implement software tools, documentation and procedures to accurately monitor production applications on a daily basis with early warning indicators
? Generate ad hoc reporting and files (internal and external) upon request
? Conduct reviews of software releases to identify potential problems
? Install new software releases as applicable
? Participate in project planning to provide technical insight into business and functional requirements
? Work with multiple teams to ensure that all applications adhere to company standards including any Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and the annual ISO and SAS/70 audits
? Perform other appropriate duties as requested
Requirements:
? BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience
? Basic telecommunications and wireless industry knowledge
? 3+ years of relevant experience in an Operations Support or Production Support environment including network and application troubleshooting, database troubleshooting, problem management, software development and multiple programming languages and environments
? 3+ years of experience working with Solaris and/or Red Hat Linux operating systems
? 3+ years of experience working with Sun One Application, Web and Proxy Servers
? 3+ years of experience working with UNIX including shell scripting (bash, ksh, PHP and Perl) as well as all related UNIX and Linux commands
? 3+ years of experience writing complex Oracle PL SQL and MySQL queries as well as utilization of related support tools
? Working knowledge of Information Security concepts, including security policies, standards and guidelines as they pertain to system configurations
