This vital, engaging role serves as the liaison between vendors and project management, coordinating import, transport and warehouse activities, as well as follow-up of the corresponding deliveries. Responsibilities: Collaborate with Teammates - and cross-functionally (projects, customs etc.) - to achieve team & business goals Compare and select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers (local transportations and abroad, via ground, sea, air) Maintains, updates and communicates relevant information (regarding master data, delivery schedules, -order status and contract information) from suppliers and logistic service providers Analyzes operational logistic status, informs involved stakeholder adequately - and derives and implements alternative measures to adopt to changing situations. Completes and communicates deficiency and status reports regarding material and product availability. Identify & implement automation and process improvements within logistics. Requirements: Professionals or Technicians from the Industrial Engineer, Business & Administration, External Commerce or related specialties Working experience of at least 5 years in a Supply Chain Management role taking care of imports, exports, vendors management, buying areas and supply management with a customer focus, both internal & external. Solid knowledge of International Commerce Terms (Incoterms) Deep understanding of the Purchase to Pay cycle Understanding the monetary and non-monetary contributions of logistics to profit and loss Ability to apply relevant methods and tools of logistic management Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills Excellent oral and written English skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Knowledge of SAP (MM Module) Able and willing to travel locally up to 20% English language advanced dominion Organization: Portfolio Companies Company: Siemens Large Drives S.A.C.
