As an R&D Engineer, Software you will be responsible for contributing to design and development of embedded software in ABB robot systems. These systems are used for communication, control, sensing and interaction with human in industrial environment, for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the R&D Project Manager, you will be fully integrated into agile development process.

Your responsibilities

• Writing well structured, testable, efficient and maintainable code
• Building software/firmware/application/HMI for robot control system
• Supporting system integration and validation
• Analyzing and enhancing efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
• Developing software tests and continuous integration
• Documenting SW design and products

Your background

• 3+ years software or firmware development
• Strong coding, debug and test skills in C/C++
• Experience in Agile, SAFe, DevOps, knowledge of python, C#
• Knowledge of cyber security and QoS
• MS. in Software Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, or equivalent degree with necessary expertise in the mentioned areas
• Fluency in English
• Knowledge of industry robot system
