Job Description

Eaton’s North American Sales division is currently seeking a Residential Project Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Grapevine or Houston, TX locations and will cover the Texas territory. Relocation is being offered for candidates living outside of 50 miles from these locations. 

Position Overview:

The primary function of the Residential Project Specialist role will be to support management, outside sales engineers and internal/external customers by being a subject matter expert in the quotation and support of multi-family residential projects, including high-rise, mid-rise, and garden-style construction. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: pricing and negotiation of multi-family residential construction projects, learning and understanding utility requirements by market, technical product support for both internal & external customers, and supporting channel partners in multi-family project support and training. This role is regional and will be working with Eaton sales team members and customers across multiple markets in the Gulf region.

The Residential Project Specialist is to act as a technical and commercial resource to field sales, customers and distributors for quotations and project management of power distribution and power protection equipment with a specific focus on residential metering products, residential load centers and breakers, and commercial distribution products.

In this function you will:

  • Review and interpret customer needs on plans and specifications
  • Determine the minimum bill of material, most competitive price level and shipment cycle within the market segment pertaining to each specific negotiation
  • Proactively facilitate timely solutions to customer issues by utilizing available resources or creating procedures for resolution
  • Coordinate warranty and non-warranty repairs and returns, which include shipping issues or service requests
  • Project manage small to medium projects on as needed basis
  • Establish and maintain the highest possible commercial relations with present and potential customers (internal and external) by effectively employing the highest level of skills with regard to the art of salesmanship, application engineering, product knowledge, knowledge of customers business and organization and knowledge of Eaton product lines strategic plans for sales growth.

Qualifications

 

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum one (1) year of work experience  
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience or exposure to a manufacturing organization 

 

 

Position Criteria:

  • Electrical experience with low voltage systems
  • Commercial experience
  • Sales and/or marketing experience
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong communication skills
