Responsible for the day-to-day running of reservations department, following Revenue strategies, optimizing availability and supporting our premium partners and owner’s bookings.
This is a fixed term position until February 2023.
Responsibilities
- Effective oversight of reservations on a day-to-day basis
- Manage the processing and input of FIT and corporate reservations following hotel reservations policy.
- Manage the processing and input of groups, MICE, film, adhoc & wedding reservations.
- Effective upkeep of Opera system through updating of rates systems, validity dates, mail messages, availability control.
- Ensuring fast settlement of commissions and assist with the financial accounting
- Promptly answer all requests for reservations and record them accurately
- Build and maintain solid relationships with guests, local businesses and hotel reservations managers.
- Promote and process enrolments and recognize our loyalty members.
- Ensure all reservations are pre-allocated fairly and logically into reserved room types.
- Closely monitor allotments and ensure all are being utilised. Provide allotment statistics and ensure accurate handling / correspondence.
- Closely monitor availability per room types and take appropriate action.
- Process and input reservations, with appropriate follow through of process as determined by policy and procedure
- Ensure thoughtful and appropriate allocation based on customer profile, contractual obligations, and hotel profitability
- Adopt a professional and timely approach to all reservation and sales enquiry, aligned with Accor best practice
- Ensure data integrity within the PMS, to ensure completeness and accuracy of all required information
- Confirm arrivals one day prior to arrival, and one week prior to arrival, daily, to ensure smooth handover to operations
- Investigate and advise actions arising from no-shows, through appropriate reports
Work Experience
- Previous experience working with Opera in Front Office or Reservations is desirable.
- You will need to be self-motivated, comfortable with working autonomously and managing your time effectively.
- You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized
