A research technician position is available in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The laboratory is particularly interested in studying DNA repair pathway in mammalian system. Our research both">aims to understand how Chromatin-based DNA damage response (DDR) pathway orchestrates and regulates cellular responses to DNA double strand break and replication stress. We combine proteomics and genetics approaches with methods within cell biology, biochemistry and live cell imaging to identify new DNA repair proteins and functionally characterize signaling responses and mechanism that maintain genome stability in mammalian cells. The precise contents of the projects will be decided upon discussions with the selected candidate. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing research, general lab maintenance and orderings. He/She will also be responsible for conducting research using molecular biology, cell biology and biochemical approaches to understand the fundamental regulation behind DNA repair. For consideration, please send the following: Cover letter, CV and name of references to Dr. Justin Leung (uams.edu">jwleunguams.edu)
