About Our Team
This is a friendly and dynamic team of about a dozen researchers and engineers
with very diverse background and strong technical expertise. We incorporate
converging technologies into both existing and new products that take us
beyond today’s most advanced products: smartphones, tablets, PCs, and other
electronic devices. We perform research and system integration of software and
hardware to deliver exciting products utilizing artificial intelligence,
computer vision, natural language processing, context awareness, connectivity,
authentication & security, as well as other relevant research areas.
What You’ll Do
You will join the Mobile Technology Innovation team in Lenovo Research, an
advanced research and technology group within Lenovo in downtown Chicago. You
will be working with a group of experienced colleagues on one or more of the
current research projects. You will participate in regular team meetings,
brainstorming sessions, team building events, and other company activities.
You will have opportunities to contribute to the business by solving actual
technical problems with innovative idea, try out your idea by writing code and
testing your code, file patent applications, and make technical presentations.
**Note: This is a Spring Semester internship with the potential to extend through Summer 2021
#### Position Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing MS degree in CS, CE, EE or related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience applying machine learning and deep learning
knowledge to computer vision, image processing, natural language processing,
or related area
• 3+ years programming experience in one or more languages like Java, Python,
C, C++, or MATLAB
Preferred Qualifications
• Pursuing Ph.D. degree in CS, CE, EE or related field
• Understand the design and use of data structures and algorithms
• Experience developing one or more of the following: mobile camera system,
image signal processing (ISP), computational photography, human-computer
interaction, sensors & sensor fusion, AR/VR head-mounted headset
• Familiar with one or more development systems like Linux, Android, Windows,
or real-time embedded
• Show a passion for innovation!
