What you will do:

As a Research Associate III, you will support IPD DPI and MDI product development from product definition stages to product approval and launch by devising and conducting analytical experiments.

  • Under general guidance, design experiments and conduct analytical experimental work related to advancing IPD product quality and performance.

  • Able to identify aberrant data and effectively communicate observations to project management. Communicate project status and concerns to management.

  • Under general guidance, execute stability-indicating analytical methods to support pMDI and DPI development of inhaled biologics drug product platforms using HPLC, UHPLC, and CE, in combination with various specialized detection schemes such as UV-Vis, FLD, MALS, and DLS

  • Conduct routine testing in support of early phase drug product stability studies using bioanalytical methods: SEC, IEC, CE (R/NR), cIEF, CZE, HIC, Potency, and A280 content assays.

  • Effectively document experiments and results in appropriate formats.

  • Execute specialized bioanalytical sample handling and preparation techniques required for stability-indicating analytical methods

  • Under general guidance, prepare technical reports and/or CoAs to summarize data and document experimental conclusions, evaluate data for trends indicative of product performance, method performance, or analyst performance.

Education:

  • University degree (BS or MS) in the field of chemistry, pharmaceutical science, or related field.

Required:

  • MS with 0+ years, BS with a minimum of six years of pharmaceutical industry experience.

  • Minimum of four years' experience testing inhalation products preferred, especially DPIs, with a variety of active pharmaceutical ingredients at different stages of development.

  • In-depth knowledge in at least one relevant field: HPLC, GC, KF moisture testing, aerosol performance testing.

  • Familiarity with relevant ICH, USP, EP, and FDA guidance documents as well as cGXPs in support of inhaled drug product testing.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and through technical writing (documentation of laboratory experiments).
