Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee will mainly assist the Principal Investigator for Research Project "A Biomicrofluidics for Monitoring Metabolic Activity in Anaerobic Co-digestion of Food Waste/Sewage Sludge" (Project Code: R6355) and shall mainly be responsible for the following:

  • Conducting experimental research as instructed by the investigators;
  • Performing data analysis;
  • Assisting in report writing and presentation of the results;
  • Carrying out other research activities as instructed by the investigators; and
  • Providing effective office support and research-related assistance.

 

Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline;
  • A Master’s degree in materials or a related discipline would be an added advantage;
  • Research experience in nanotechnology, fluorescent sensor and biotoxicity;
  • Basic anaerobic digestion techniques and synthesis experience; and
  • Experience in sensor design is highly preferred.

 

Compensation Package
Competitive compensation package including basic salary and end-of-contract gratuity will be provided to the right candidate.  Fringe benefits such as annual leave, staff development leave, staff learning and development sponsorship and medical & dental benefits will also be provided.
