Regulatory Affairs Analyst
Job Purpose / Overview
The Job owner is member of the SRA Team and responsible for:
- Maximize opportunity & minimize risk by guiding business decisions based on scientific & regulatory insight and provide appropriate governance structure.
- Ensure regulatory compliance of ingredients, products, packaging and claims in all the markets where we commercialize the products, protecting our freedom to operate.
- Prepare, submit and follow up of product registration and renewals following our business needs, aligned with the timetable agreed.
- Provide information related to local import and export requirements and timings, among others.
- Frequent contact with sanitary authorities and distributors
What are we looking for?
Knowledge/Experience
- Newly graduated vet or vet student.
- English is a must
- Knowledge in petfood, small animal clinic and/or nutrition.
- Understanding of pet food law and regulatory frameworks
- Understanding of scientific dossiers and key messages from scientific information.
- Ability to work in multicultural teams and with people coming from different discipline and business areas.
- Ability to communicate and transfer knowledge to others in various forms (presentations, reports, training…)
- Intermediate / advanced English communication skills
- Office knowledge (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Adobe)
What would be your key responsibilities?
- Prepare dossiers for products or raw material registration / renewal following timings agreed. Direct interaction with distributors and regulatory authorities to reach submission approval.
- Assist with label development and review for compliance before release.
- Review the arts text (labeling), promotional and non-promotional material.
- Ensure keeping updated regional and local databases in relation to registered products.
- Interpret local and global regulations to ensure compliance of products, processes, practices and procedures. Strong support to ensure compliance with local, imported or exported products-related regulation, including but not limited to: Ingredients, labeling, claims product registration & packaging information.
- Deal with issues affecting import and export processes of our products.
- Support other business segments. providing regulatory advice and guidance when needed.
- Support the audit process.
- Coordinate translations when needed.
- Coordinate product sampling required by SAG Chile
- Coordinate shipment of samples to other business units and distributors when needed
- Follow up of innovation projects.
- Identify improvement opportunities and initiatives.
- Usage of systems, for example: SAP, Nexus, Veritas.
