Job Purpose:
To define and lead regional sales campaigns based on the agreed strategy for Medium Speed engine based land power business of Rolls-Royce Power Systems for all designated and potential customers (EPCs/ IPPSs/ end-users) for both domestic and overseas markets. Delivering profitable growth inline with the committed business plan.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and manage relationship with customers and other stakeholders/ decision making organisations such as EPCs, IPPs, end users, consultants, gas companies, statutory bodies, export financing organisations etc. in order to develop prospects/ opportunities. Anticipate and nurture longer term relationship opportunities in a partnership approach with strategic segment customers.
Identify, develop and mature sales campaigns in China for both domestic and export markets to secure customer orders, duly adhering to company policies and processes. Also plan and lead effective marketing in the region with necessary support.
Collect and update data on market trends, competitor activities/ strategies etc. in order to provide reliable market forecasting input.
Develop and deliver effective techno commercial analysis and presentations to consultants/advisors, customers, project developers etc. to ensure Rolls-Royce solution is specified/ recommended/ recognised.
Provide timely and accurate input for business financial planning and other processes including budgets & forecasts, campaign plans, relationship management plans, sales project reports/ highlights, customer satisfaction surveys etc.
Support projects team in achieving project objectives for concluded regional contracts and act as the primary customer interface for all issues associated with execution.
Direct resources in Rolls-Royce, its partner companies and suppliers as necessary to deliver successful sales campaigns
Maintain and enhance the company's image within the market place.
Provide professional functional expertise, as necessary.
Key Experiences and any Qualifications
Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical discipline. Qualification in Marketing from a reputed institute would be an added advantage.
Work experience of minimum 12 yrs in sales of capital equipments, with minimum 5 years in preferably medium speed engine (or gas turbine) based power solutions.
Good knowledge of relevant industries and competitors.
Established networking with relevant medium speed land power market stakeholders.
Must be fluent in Chinese and Engish - both spoken and written. Other relevant language skills would be of added advantage.
Track record of successfully delivering sales campaigns.
Regional cultural awareness including experience of international environment.
Knowledge of customer requirements capture. Experience in strategic and tactical planning.
Adequate commercial awareness to be able to lead commercial discussions with customers.
Knowledge of Rolls-Royce medium speed engine products and services would be of added advantage.
