Position: RTM & Vehicle Network

Main goals and objectives:

• Legal and regulatory requirements exist with national and local governmental scope. VW EE Wolfsburg has handed over the responsibility for function specification and the technical implementation in imported vehicles to C-EE.

• System architecture and ensuring in-vehicle network communication according to Volkswagen standards are two of the key strategies for Volkswagen in China. VW EE Wolfsburg has handed over the responsibility for managing system architecture and network communication tests in all local Chinese vehicle projects to C-EE.

• Scope of this position is full responsibility for the whole RTM system in Volkswagen NEV projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• Creation, release and maintenance of a brand-wide function specification RTM

• Analysis of market specific regulations and laws, identification of critical items and creation of compliant technical solutions for RTM

• Discussion and alignment of technical solutions with national and regional local regulatory departments and institutions as well as presentation in brand- and group-wide meetings

• Creation, documentation and alignment of technical solutions to fulfill RTM related regulations in Volkswagen vehicle projects

• Identification, documentation and tracking of vehicle specific adaptations for RTM

• Creation, documentation and alignment of processes necessary for integration and usage of RTM

• Measurement, analysis and reporting of in-car-communication behavior related to RTM

• Analysis and summary of market specific regulations and laws as well as recommendations towards VW EE with regard to current and future vehicle projects

• Responsibility to align, filter and provide vehicle network architecture and vehicle communication matrices for local market

• Ensuring the availability and readiness of network test equipment

• Creation, alignment, monitoring and adaptation of single ECU test processes to ensure approval of network communication

• Alignment and cooperation with JVs, C-EES and VW EE Wolfsburg
  

Our Requirements:

Necessary education:

• Engineering degree in automotive, electric, communications computing or similar

Personal skills:

• Experience in working in an intercultural team

• Excellent skills in communication and collaboration

• High ability to solve problems even in difficult situations

• Highly self-organized and disciplined

• Highly motivated

• Experience in project management (time management / planning /monitoring)

• Experience in management reporting

Working experience (in years):

• More than 6 years’ work experience in the (automotive) electronic industry or similar

Remarks (Language, IT Knowledge, Certificates etc.):

• Excellent language skills in Chinese (written and oral) mandatory, English language skills highly appreciated, German language skills highly appreciated

• Knowledge/Experience in analyzing in-vehicle communication

• Knowledge/experience in vehicle network systems / function

• Experience in Vector tools chain (CANoe, CANalyzer, PREEvision, DaVinci, vTESTstudio, Test Package VAG)

• Experience in CAPL programming

• Experience in communication Bus systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
