Responsibilities

• Working with hardware development, architecture, manufacturing, and software teams to understand, identify and drive RF system requirements
• Collaboration with the hardware and software development teams in creating test plans for component validation and system level validation
• Specifying the test infrastructure (test equipment and automation) necessary to perform product validation
• Defining requirements for the Manufacturing Test Equipment necessary to launch products to mass production
• Executing relevant test cases throughout the product development phases and reporting the results to development teams and program management
• Travel both domestically and internationally to support design and manufacturing activities,
• Interacting with suppliers and development partners

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in hardware/firmware design, integration, and test
• Knowledge of wireless physical layer and protocol fundamentals
• In-depth knowledge of technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
• GPS, cellular experience is highly desirable
• Understanding of validation, characterization, and manufacturing methods and systems
• Understanding of RF regulatory compliance requirements
• Demonstrated analog/digital hardware design and analysis skills
• Experience troubleshooting component and system level issues
• Mass production factory experience desirable
• Test and automation software skills desirable
• Cadence Allegro skills desirable
• Proficiency with typical RF laboratory equipment (scopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, communication test systems)
