R&D Senior Scientist

To provide strong technical leadership for a portfolio of global Care & Treats innovation projects, building and leveraging a wide array of internal and external capabilities and networks, the R&D Senior Scientist will work closely with many functions and in collaboration with both global and regional R&D teams to deliver innovative product and process solutions, rooted in consumer insight, and in line with the global business strategy.

 

What are we looking for?
•    A degree level qualification in a relevant technical/scientific discipline is essential
•    Extensive experience in product, process and/or packaging development within the FMCG industry, preferably within Food
•    Proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships, and work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
•    Proven ability to access, develop and transfer technical knowledge and skills, and to lead and manage projects/programmes
•    Fluent in English

What would be your key responsibilities?
•    Development of product and process solutions from initial concepts, which deliver against defined consumer & customer benefits, as well as a viable financial model.
•    Work seamlessly with global & regional R&D, Marketing, Procurement and Supply functions to establish product and process quality targets.
•    Provide technical project leadership on high complexity projects, effectively managing delivery to time, cost and quality, while working with and influencing key stakeholders.
•    Responsible for ensuring all technical readiness criteria are met ahead of transferring ownership to the regional teams for factory implementation.
•    Providing functional training, coaching and mentoring for R&D Associates in global and regional R&D teams
