As an R&D Intern, you will be responsible for contributing to the designing and developing of application software products, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the R&D Team Manager, you will document software design and products.

Your responsibilities

• Contributing to the design and development of application software products. This software is used for controlling, programming, coordinating robots in specific application contexts (eg. robot predictive maintenance).
• Writing well structured, testable, efficient, and maintainable code for cloud applications
• Proposing efficient and reliable cloud solution architecture and configuration
• Analyzing and enhancing efficiency, stability, and scalability of modular software
• Developing software tests and continuous integration
• Documenting software design and products

Your background

• A Master’s in software engineering, Computer Science and Technology, or equivalent degree with the necessary expertise in the mentioned areas
• Familiar with cloud services (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Excellent python coding skills, strong build, debug and test skills
• The ability of problem-solving, time management, and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude to work, engagement in the tasks, and a strong result-orientation
• Experience in Industrial software is a plus
• Knowledge of the Agile development process is a plus
