As an R&D Engineer you will be responsible for serving as one of the key technical expert of mechatronics system design and production support, for Robotics & Discrete Automation business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the R&D Team Manager, you will be responsible for robot controller engineering change process for product improvement.

Your responsibilities

• Providing robot controller encapsulation design, including sheet metal and cable harness
• Supporting robot controller industrialization like designing, sampling, testing and auto-assembling
• Being responsible for robot controller engineering change process for product improvement

Your background

• A BSC Degree with 5+ years related working experience in Mechatronics (Mechanical and Electrical) or MSc. with equivalent background
• Solid background in mechatronics system design, such as process control system electrical design, mechanical and cabling design of controller cabinet and so on
• Familiar with sheet metal material, process, surface treatment
• Preferred experience in SolidWorks and Eplan, ERP system, especially SAP
• Knowledge on cooling/thermal design and EMC would be a plus
• Good organizational skills and can create and participate in cross-group process definition
• Good command of written & spoken English (Must be able to communicate effectively both in written and oral English in a global team)
