Summary:

Serves as the technical expert for Quality and Product related data as well as the supporting systems for the Quality organization. This individual implements processes and oversees the updating, development, and deployment aspects of existing and new data management, reporting, and analysis solutions. Able to handle complex issues and exhibit the highest level of competency when dealing with internal and external customers. Responsible for results in terms of quality of work products and conformance to regulations and Baxter quality policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates planning sessions to build consensus among leadership and peers regarding requirements, priorities, and delivery of technical solutions.
  • Works with IT and internal service providers to convert business needs into user requirements and deliverables.
  • Recognizes when escalation is needed for issues that arise regarding processes, data, reports, procedures, etc. that require management attention.
  • Determine root causes of nonconformance and assist in developing effective solutions.
  • Understands and assures conformance to regulations and may interface with regulators during regulatory inspections.
  • Interacts frequently with leaders and functional peer groups of technical experts and develops and maintains good relationships.
  • Identifies and leads continuous improvement projects with the objective of achieving quality, reliability and cost improvements.
  • Serves as a coach, trainer & supports development of more junior associates.

Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of applicable procedures, specifications, regulations and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Good interpersonal/communication/influencing/negotiation skills.
  • Good project management skills (tools, processes and methodologies)
  • Business systems/analysis planning skills
  • Capability to analyze, interpret and provide a ‘best case’ solution
  • Strong knowledge and application of Business Intelligence (BI) tools – e.g. Tableau, Cognos, SQL
  • Computer programming and web solution skills desirable
  • Statistical skills a plus

Education and/or Experience:

BS in science or engineering. 5+ years experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering or related field.
