Summary
Drives operational performance improvement efforts in the Supplier Quality and External Contract Manufacturing team by owning the Supplier Quality IT tool (Trackwise), owning team operational metrics, business process ownership, identifying and eliminating waste and inefficiencies, and leading continuous improvement projects to ensure processses meet functional and operational performance goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Business Process Owner of global TrackWise 9 Supplier Quality Lifecycle Management system: Maintain both system’s validated state and manage support team. Liaison between Quality and IT organizations. Analyze business need and risk, prioritize upgrades/projects, and secure resources. Perform TW9 system maintenance
- Subject Matter Expert of operational metrics: Responsible for compiling and presenting key process metrics to management.
- Engage in Strategic Planning & Deployment process
- Develop and deploy strategic improvement initiatives.
- Utilize lean and six sigma methodologies to enhance business process efficiencies.
- Process owner of key business processes.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Business Acumen; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology, and information affecting his/her industry, business and organization
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Good communications, facilitation, coordination and team skills
- Project management skills managing multiple issues of moderate to high complexity relatively independently with minimal supervision/instructions
- Ability to manage the Quality relationship with stakeholders
- Multi-tasking skills in a demanding fast paced environment
- Superior time-management skills
- Superior written and oral communications skill sets
- Experience with matrixed organizations
- Presentation and trainer skills
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or science related field (Engineering, Natural Sciences)
- Requires 5+ years of experience in Quality and provess improvement experience.
- Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical or highly regulated environment a plus.
- Knowledge and experience of quality management systems, GMPs, regulatory guidelines and statistics preferred.
