Job Description

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary project that will be assigned to intern will be the Hamilton Dilutor Automation for QC ELISA lab.  Goals and learning outcomes expected of intern will be to gain cGMP knowledge, learn biochemistry techniques such as reagent/sample preparation, equipment maintenance and HTRF testing.

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Quality Control Impurity Analysis/ELISA Intern, are to: 

 

  • Participate in daily huddle meetings;
  • Assist in performing routine lab work in a team environment;
  • Assist in setting up and testing Hamilton dilutor for HTRF testing;
  • Perform data mining and evaluation;
  • Perform relevant equipment maintenance;
  • Perform all activities in a manner consistent with cGMP requirements.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Currently enrolled in a 4 year bachelor undergraduate program with a focus Biology, Biochemistry or Biotech; with the completion of the sophomore year;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to deal professionally with internal customers of various organizational levels;
  • Ability to work effectively within a departmental team and with members of the same or higher organizational levels;
  • Good organization, documentation, prioritization and scheduling skills together with an overall desire to learn;
  • Basic problem solving and project management abilities together with a professional image;
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task;
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office with beginner level proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Demonstrated potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and collaboration with others and independent thought.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Elisa experience preferred;
  • Pipetting and dilutions experience preferred;
  • Statistics coursework preferred.
