Our location in Lake County, IL currently has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Professional.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Quality Assurance Professional with Abbott Diagnostics is Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Quality System: Understands, implements, and maintains the quality policy. Ensures compliance to and is able to demonstrate knowledge of site level policies and procedures.

Post Market Surveillance – Complaint Investigator

  • Perform timely Customer Complaint handling including administration, investigation and approval, collecting additional information from Technical and highlighting any issues to management.
  • Tracking and review of Post Market Surveillance data, highlighting any issues to Technical and Management.
  • Supporting and working closely with the Laboratory, Technical, Regulatory and Quality departments. Should issues arise immediately flag and communicated to management in a timely manner.
  • Support of Internal and External Audits. 
  • Support initiation of Quality Holds, Risk Evaluations, Trending, QPI’s and Quality Communications.
  • Support Global PQA for above activities or projects as they arise.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferable in the life or physical sciences or closely related field or sufficient related and transferable experience 
  • 5 years of experience in a quality or technical area; or clinical laboratory; Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics is preferred.

Preferred

  • Medical device or in-vitro diagnostics experience strongly desired
  • Strong technical communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and basic project management skills.
  • Complaint investigation experience
