Job Description
We are looking for a QC inspector for hardgoods to conduct Quality Inspections according to Target requirements so that “fit –for-purpose” products are delivered on time.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct QC inspection (in-line or final) in accordance with pre-defined AQL sampling plan and Target Australia quality standards
Carry out functional and safety tests on product during QC inspection which are required
Lead initiatives assuring Target Australia quality standards are clearly understood and maintained at all suppliers during inspection
Provide feedback to supplier or factory during QC inspection
Input QC inspection data into system in a timely manner
Support supplier or factory in the use of system quality inspection module
Align quality standards by collaborating with other technical team
Facilitate quicker decision making by escalating inspection failure in a timely manner
Conduct assignments at the discretion of the QC manager (i.e. Certified Inspection Program factory governance and other specific assignment)
Conduct production audit aligned with Target requirement of product and procedure.
Job Requirements:
Graduate from a technical institute or college.
Minimum 5 years working experience in General Merchandise quality inspecting or manufacturing industry.
Familiar with Australia retail market requirements and country or region industry.
Electrical & Electronic inspector must have good knowledge with EMC standard. Industrial Engineering background preferred.- Strong verbal and written English and local language.
Strong IT skills especially in the use of MS-Office applications.
Sound knowledge in AQL inspection standard ISO 2859
Knowledge and experience in quality management, defect prevention and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge and experience in production audit and process control is preferred.
