The Role:

This role will be responsible for leading quality assurance for the Reporting group in Shenzhen office, including providing technical and quality direction and oversight of automation, to ensure good testing practices are applied with rigor across product and functional teams. Meanwhile, as a manager, you will need to coach & motivate the team to build up a culture of high energy to help achieving technology excellence. Thus, a self-starter with good understanding on overall software development life cycle and quality will be ideal for this role. You will need to partner with Development managers and Product managers, also QA lead/managers from other locations in our day-to-day work.

Responsibilities

• Work with development and functional QA teams to define our test strategy.
• Drive analytics-driven decision-making approach to align with product owners, on investment/speed to market/quality.
• Direct automation requirements & implementation plan and set automation test strategies for both functional and non-functional testing.
• Develop mature and practical quality assurance process and testing framework to support product development & involvement.
• Establish efficient working model based on program/projects needs to ensure consistent, productive and effective execution.
• Build good talent ladder among the team and implement decent growth plan.
• Play as evangelist to introduce and implement quality strategy in the team, by working with all stakeholders, not just within QA teams.
• Promote global mind-set to drive for overall company success, not just individual team success.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is required in Computer Science or related.
• Fluent in verbal English communication.
• 8+ years of working experience in a related field with competence in at least one programming language.
• At least 3 years as a Team leader/Manager.
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks/tools such as JMeter, Selenium, SoapUI.
• Strong experience with test case management tools such as TestRail, QAComplete, TestLink.
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of software quality assurance practice.
• Agile experience (Scrum preferred).
• A passion for automated testing, continuous improvement and mentoring.
• Ability to direct the testing effort across multiple teams.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities.
