The Purchasing Office is searching for a capable and self-motivated individual to fill the role of Purchasing Manager. The appointee will:
(a) engage in collecting and defining system requirements, testing and implementing purchasing systems, ensuring end to end delivery of procurement process and strategy. Systems include e-Procurement, e-Tendering, Market Place, Document Management and also systems used for subsidiaries and affiliated companies;
(b) establish and manage vendor evaluation and management process;
(c) perform post-event control on devolved procurement to ensure compliance with policies;
(d) supervise logistics and licensing arrangement of goods delivery; and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned.
Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Manager, the appointee will lead a vendor team of 2 to 4 Purchasing Officers as direct reports to provide system support to the procurement team.
Applicants should have a recognized degree and at least 5 years of work experience in purchasing and tendering, including some years at a supervisory level. Solid experience in implementation of purchasing systems and procedures, strategic sourcing and vendor management would be an advantage. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
