Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and controls all company external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of materials and finished parts for production.
  • Ensures parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price.


  • Establishes strategic relationships with key suppliers who are aligned to the company's needs.


  • Identifies new suppliers, agrees to terms and negotiates supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates in close collaboration and alignment with the Global Commodity Procurement function


  • Drives local and global projects in close collaboration and alignment with the Global Project Procurement function


  • Is responsible for the appropriate monthly reporting according to corporate standards


  • Defines cost improvement strategies to meet annual saving targets


  • Drives Cost workshops with suppliers


  • Fosters close working relationships with associated departments e.g., Sales, Engineering and Production.


  • Continually improves purchasing methods and drives down external spend.


  • Makes supplier visits in China and abroad.


  • Carries out a comprehensive review of the Purchasing function and its methodology and identifies and implement improvements. Forecasts levels of demand for services and products to meet the business needs.


  • Conducts research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality in close collaboration and alignment with the global strategic purchasing function.


  • Acts as liaison between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers.


  • Negotiates and approves contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided in close collaboration and alignment with the global strategic purchasing function


  • Processes payments and invoices.


  • Evaluates bids and makes recommendations based on commercial and technical factors.


  • Ensures suppliers are aware of business objectives.


  • Attends meetings and trade conferences.


  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Job Requirement:


  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.


  • Good English level (spoken and written).


  • Knowledge of Ufida systems is a plus.


  • Technical background is a plus.


  • Knowledge of building material industry (windows and door or more it’s accessory) is a plus too.


  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.


  • Strong people and customer service skills, experience in successful negotiation, and managing the execution of company-wide supplier contracts.
