• Review open purchasing requisitions, place purchase orders to suppliers and monitor on-time material delivery.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations, develop vendor and visit suppliers for delivery or supplier competence approval.
• Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and supplier reputation and history.
• Quick solution with vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective actions.
• Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine need for changes.
• Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
• Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
• Review catalogs, industry periodicals, directories, trade journals, and Internet sites and consult with other department personnel to locate necessary goods and services.
• Purchase the qualified merchandise at the best price and in correct amounts.
• Formulate policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and services.
• Study sales records and inventory levels of current stock to develop strategic purchasing programs.
• Negotiate, renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers and other representatives.
• Monitor shipments to ensure that goods arrival on time, and resolve problems related to undelivered goods.

EHS requirement:

• Comply with any rules specific to a particular site and any company-wide health, safety or environmental requirements.
• Be aware of EHS hazards and use personal protective equipment supplied in accordance with site risk assessments and site rules.
• Report any injuries, unsafe acts or conditions to line managers.
  

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent of mechanical and electrical or automatic control major required.
• Above 3 years' experience related experience in flow control for pump/valve industry is a plus
• Strong communication skills and team work spirit.
• Experience in cost analysis and strong financial knowledge preferred.
• Have good team work spirit and can work under high pressure.

Language Skills:

Be able to read engineering drawings and write mail in English

Computer Skills:

• Excellent on MS PC application
• Experience in ERP system will be a priority
