Job Description:

The Prototype Artist will work closely with the Art Director plus Game Teams and will have a significant role in establishing and defining the visual design for anything from individual assets to entire art visions.

The Prototype Artist should either come from a 3D Artist background with strong Concept skills or a Concept background with a good foundation of 3D software.

The Prototype Artist should possess the ability to set forth the studio’s vision and create imagery and layouts that will communicate the visual experience and help blueprint all the aspects of the game for content authoring.

They should have a passion for what they do and own a deep understanding of composition and color, the ability to create amazing designs and visions for conceptual art.

Requirements:

? A deep understanding and enthusiasm for all aspects of realistic and stylized conceptual art, such as: characters, environments, mechanical objects, props, etc

? Excellent drawing and painting skills in both traditional and digital formats ? Creative, adaptable and flexible art style with attention to aesthetic detail

? 3D Software familiarity. Ability to work comfortably in 3D not only to aid your concept work but to rapidly prototype anything from scene layouts to object designs

? Ability to convey a message through visual presentation, in various forms ranging from polished art to speed painting and quick mock ups

? Ability to analysis and breakdown the holistic task into separate issues and provide targeted design solutions

? Being expressive in storytelling

? Proficiency in Photoshop or Painter

? Well versed in principles of color theory and lighting

? Experience with rapid-iteration of drawings and paintings

? Proactive personality with a passion to self-drive ideas, active communication and help promote the domain

? Willingness to present ideas and knowledge and workflow share with others

? Familiar with western culture

? 5 years+ for concept in games or a related field

? Detail oriented, organized and able to meet project requirements

? 熟悉西方文化。

? 5年以上概念设计或相关领域工作经验。

? 关注细节,自律,能达到项目要求。


Desirable Skills:

? Formal traditional art training

? English and Mandarin proficiency

? A resume and portfolio that reflects the skills and abilities above

? Passion for games

? Strong technical and communication skills

? 2 years+ games production experience

? Additional illustration or design skills

? A solid understanding of asset management practices

? Good attitude for problem solving and self-starting with the ability to work with minimal direction
