As a Proposal Engineer, you will be responsible for communicating with customers, fully understanding customer’s concerns and requirements, analyzing feasibility, preparing the proposal etc. Being, for Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Technical Sales Support Specialist, you will be preparing flow chart based on the customer's process, layout and function requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Communicating with customers, fully understanding customer’s concerns and requirements, analyzing feasibility, preparing the proposal etc. Being familiar with relevant regulations, logistic equipment and technical information
• Visiting customer's site and communicating with operators. Collecting and recording key information after communication with customers (including meeting minutes, emails, related documents, etc.,)
• Preparing the system layout, analyzing data and picking the efficiency equipment based on capacity, performance, ergonomics, space and cost. Preparing flow chart based on the customer's process, layout and function requirements
• Communicating with control engineer and software engineer ensuring to meet the customer’s requirements. Preparing review meeting for proposal incl. system layout, workflow, capacity
• Preparing RFQ documents for related equipment, communicating and confirming the technical information with the supplier, collecting supplier's quotation, working out project cost from FCM template, and calculating the ROI if needed
• Preparing technical documents, deviation documents and other bidding documents. Being responsible for technical bidding meeting, presenting proposal concept, function, highlighting to customer, answering technical questions in the bidding meeting, and recording technical issues raised by customer
• Joining the project kick-off meeting and preparing related materials, transferring technical documents to Engineering Department after winning the contract
• Being familiar with the application of industrial robots in the logistics industry

Your background

• 3 years of working experience in sales support of logistics solutions
• Familiar with warehouse, distribution center, industry robot
• Familiar with AutoCAD and other 3D design software
• A bachelor’s degree or above, logistic automation is preferred
• Have excellent expression, communication, organization, coordination and teamwork skills
• Being a part of business trips and team management experience is preferred
• Fluency in English writing and speaking skills
