Job Descriptions:

Lead the technical development of new and existing products with supplier(s) ensuring project timing. Lead the process development with suppliers ensuring the process is efficient and proper and Propose countermeasures when there are problems. Lead suppliers to design and manufacture products that meet the quality, cost, performance, and safety specifications required by Medline. Coordinate with different levels of management from suppliers to ensure a successful product development meeting the deadline.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Analyze existing and new product design, including mechanical and electrical design verification.

2. Work with suppliers to optimize the design and function of electrical devices, as well as implement high quality manufacturing and testing of electrical components and systems.

3. Assist Corporate Quality Engineers in generating appropriate product verification testing and finished product inspection criteria for electro-mechanical products.

4. Identify critical components in electrical circuits and generate specifications for required reliability and performance.

5. Prepare detailed specifications for projects with Corporate Office.

6. Supervise design efforts from vendors.

7. Meet with vendors to optimize the proposed design.

8. Perform prototype evaluations.

9. Propose countermeasures to address design issues.

10. Establish and meet project schedules coordinating with vendors by working closely with the vendors and managing the project to achieve the target date and objectives。

11. Test per specified test procedures.

12. Work with factories to improve quality systems so they meet Medline standards.

13. Work with vendor to address issues on products in the field as the trend on complaints build up.

14. Work with factories to set up the process control and monitor the process control is well maintained.

15. Draft product inspection criteria and train inspectors.

Qualifications:

1. The ideal candidate must be well organized, detail oriented and has the flexibility to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

2. This individual must have a high regard for personal accountability and understand the critical importance of commitment.

3. Must possess strong oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese and have the demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and gain the respect of various levels of management, including owners/senior managers at the factories.

4. Must be capable of supervising out-of-house projects and managing them to achieve on time completion. This requires working through issues at the factory and making sure these projects remain a priority and get the factory resources required.

5. Requires a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.

6. Requires 3 years’ experience in product development and/or supplier quality management, the experience in durable medical equipment is preferable

7. It’s preferable if candidate is a certified quality system auditor for ISO9001, ISO13485 and QS9000 etc.

8. Familiar with industry safety standards like IEC60601-1, and experience with third party laboratories like UL, SGS, ETL, Intertek, etc. preferred.

9. Excellent computer skills including AutoCAD, MS Office, Projects.

10. Able to handle special projects as directed by Managers.

11. Travel 60-80% (within China and overseas)
