As a Project Assistant you will be responsible for supporting SCM in regard of project sourcing strategy development, identifying key and critical suppliers, in Robotics & Discrete Automation in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will support commercial negotiation with suppliers and making joint purchase decision with the project team.

Your responsibilities

• Involving during project proposal phase, supporting budgetary quoting and delivery time check
• Supporting SCM in regard of project sourcing strategy development, identifying key and critical suppliers
• Involving in supplier related activities during project execution phase, including project meetings, project planning, suppliers selecting, etc.
• Preparing project inquiry BOM list and issue to related commodity owner, and timely following up on-time quotation receiving
• Supporting commercial negotiation with suppliers and making joint purchase decision with the project team. Preparing commercial negotiation summary and following up approval process
• Controlling PO, including material following up, emergency handling on time, trouble shooting for quality issue, etc.
• Building a good relationship with key suppliers by building long-term cooperation
• Developing potential suppliers to meet the requirements of projects as well as the commodity strategy and supporting other tasks from SCM manager if necessary

Your background

• Experience in Supply chain/ Procurement in relevant industrial company
• Sound knowledge of industrial products (preferred)
• Familiar with SAP
• Knowledge on word, Excel and PowerPoint
• A College degree or above in Supply chain management or engineering/electrical/automatic control/mechanical related
• Must be a fact seeker and have problem-solving attitude
