The Role:

Tesla is seeking a motivated, experienced, and knowledgeable Program Manager to support warehouse operations. You will work cross-functionally with Global Supply Management, Logistics, Material Planning, Production Control, Finance, Quality and Facilities to oversee and direct Tesla priorities through a 3PL managed external warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Manages the operation of external warehouse, including container management, dock receiving, uncrating & repackaging, inventory management, JIT/JIS to line side.

• Directly supporting factory production by supervising, optimizing, and troubleshooting the efficient and accurate flow of material.

• Proactively monitors indicators of warehouse health, anticipates problems, engages directly when necessary to support urgent material flow needs.

• Implements systems, process, configurations, and change/optimization projects in accordance with plans. Participates in project definition, scoping, and option analysis activities.

• Maintains a safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, including actively coaching 3PL personnel and visitors to quickly address safety issues and concerns.

• Work with IT and control department to define logistics execution system (LES) or the warehouse management system (WMS)

• Work with packaging engineers on package proposal validation and optimization

• Fosters a professional, respectful, and welcoming work environment, while maintaining Tesla standards for personal and operational excellence.

• Performs, directs, and reviews Root Cause and Correction Action analysis of part shortage, near miss, and other system and process failures to ensure continuous improvement and learning.

• 3PL is another possibility to run the external warehouse. in this case, the candidate need to be able to foster strong relationship with Third Party Logistics (3PL) providers of warehouse services including adherence to contract terms, levels of service, and obtaining best value for Tesla.

Responsibilities:

• 8+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, and/or evidence of exceptional ability.

• Demonstrated communication, leadership, and problem solving skills. Ability to write, speak, and present effectively and persuasively at all levels.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple high priority demands simultaneously; ability to achieve success in situations with high degrees of variation and complexity.

• Self-driven initiative to gain and implement a broad knowledge of warehousing and supply chain best practices.

• Exceptional project and system management skills.

• Passionate and high energy, possessing the diplomacy and cooperative style to positively influence outcomes.
