Program Manager, ACS Compensation & Territories

Job Description

This position is within Advanced Customer Services (ACS) as part of the ACS Global Sales Operations organization. This position is responsible for providing global support for both Incentive Compensation and Territory Management processes.  The ultimate goal for this role is to partner with Regional Sales Operations, Global Incentive Compensation and Compensation Finance to drive for consistent application of Oracle compensation and territory policies and processes.

  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\:

Incentive Compensation

  • Participate in the annual compensation review process with ACS Business Leaders, Global Incentive Compensation and Compensation Finance to determine & document the “Go To Market” approach (GTM).  Activities may include requirements gathering from Regional Sales teams, compensation data analysis, business case development & justification and communications with Regional Sales & Operations teams.
  • Implement the approved GTM by working with the Regional Operations and Sales teams.  Activities include publishing the quota setting guidelines, validating the total regional sales quotas to be distributed, maintaining the quota setting tools, determining Renewal “Available to Renew” (i.e. ATR) values and gathering individual level quota details for plan submission.
  • Participate on regular calls with Global Incentive Compensation team to manage compensation activities & issues, understand potential system and process changes which may impact ACS.
  • Review, advise and assist in resolving non standard compensation requests and issues.
  • Develop & refresh incentive compensation training materials.
  • Manage the process to evaluate and submit Cloud Migration compensation requests.
  • Document & publish key incentive compensation management processes and work procedures to the ACS Global Desk Manual.
  • Act as the global subject matter expert for ACS Global compensation processes and supporting tools (i.e. SCR).
  • Partner with Regional Operations teams to execute regular compensation related approvals.
  • Develop sound business relationships with ACS Regional Sales Operations, Global Compensation Finance and other internal stakeholders for compensation matters.

Territory Management

  • Implement and manage the annual territory setup process in line with corporate timeline. Responsibilities include overall program management & communications, refining territory setups within required corporate timelines, implementing proposed territory setups into the corporate Oracle Sales Cloud staging environment and addressing issues identified as part of the annual territory set up process.
  • Manage & track mid year territory change requests from the Regional ACS Sales Operations teams including changes to the account coverage, territory hierarchy, “To Be Hired” territories and general maintenance.
  • Document & publish key territory management processes and work procedures to the ACS Global Desk Manual.
  • Act as the global subject matter expert for Territory setups within the Oracle Sales Cloud application.
  • Partner with Regional Sales Operations team to address any territory related issues which arise during the year.
  • Develop sound business relationships with ACS Regional Sales Operations, ACS Global Business Operations, Global Sales Operations – Territory team and other ACS internal stakeholders.
  • Participate on regular calls with Global Sales Operations – Territories team to manage the territory implementation process understand potential system and process changes which may impact ACS.

 SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\:

  • At least 8 years experience in relevant compensation or territory management functions.  Specific experience with relevant Incentive Compensation and Territory Management applications preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the functionality and flow of key Oracles Sales Cloud processes, such as opportunity management, territories and/or forecasts.
  • Proven understanding of Oracle / ACS compensation & territory policies and processes will accelerate success
  • killed in MS Office, including Word and Powerpoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills including data modeling & analysis, including functionality such as pivot tables, vlookups and data validation.
  • Proven successful and highly attuned interpersonal and influencing skills both within Oracle
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Prepared to work in, and lead, virtual teams
  • Sophisticated at dealing with conflict in a constructive manner
  • Able to structure both formal and informal presentations/proposals for delivery at management and customer level
!|!Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 8 plus years relevant work experience.
