Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day operations in terms of scheduling and timelines of production, and to ensure timelines are met for production.

• Negotiating and controlling cost with our suppliers.

• Create factory performance grading metrics in order to grade factories based on our vendor requirements.

• Visit factories to audit and decide which suppliers would be suited with which product lines.

• Work closely with QC manager, China QC team and brand QA at HQ to resolve production quality issues and develop mechanism to reduce recurrence of similar issues.

• Negotiating claim and discount settlements with each factory.

• Oversee factory merchandisers SOP, offer technical and operational expertise to keep the workflow smooth and improve the communication efficiency. Keep factory merchandiser team accountable for penalising factories on delays or defective issues.

• Plan capacity with PD, buying and design teams to ensure on time delivery for all product lines.

• Ensure company soft goods line (apparel) is produced correctly with the highest quality from specs, fabric quality, workmanship and trims.

• Able to oversea travel is required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, degree in Textiles & Clothing or Operation Management is a plus.

• Minimum of 10 years proven experience in garment production management in sourcing office or branded manufacturers.

• In depth technical knowledge in soft goods production, preferably in a women’s ready to wear business.

• Excellent negotiation skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; strategic thinking, and results oriented.

• Detail-oriented while maintaining the ability to see the big picture.

• Effective and inspiring leader who demonstrates strong organizational and project management skills. Highly effectively in delegating and skillful to handle and complete tasks within tight deadlines.

• Embrace openness in communication with HQ and China teams, help maintain transparency in operation while building a team.

• Experience in fast-fashion business is a plus.

• Fluent speaking and writing in English and Chinese is required.
