Job Description

As Production Control & Purchasing Team Leader for the Application Center in Asia, you will be part of our Asian Hub within the Global Projects organisation. We have the responsibility to design & manufacture fixtured nutrunner systems and other such applications such as torque reaction arms and software solutions. Our customers are in China, Korea, Japan and South East Asia.

Mission

You have the responsibility in this role to lead a department with the responsibility for all purchase and production control related activities to ensure best price, delivery and scope in accordance with our project demands.

You will be responsible for:

？ All related local project purchase activities (operational and strategic)

？ Supplier development

？ Product company components purchase

？ Non production purchase

？ Warehouse management (Inventory control / material management WIP)

？ Quality reporting system

？ Planning and control of departmental budget

？ Implementation of process related cost saving and quality initiatives

？ Competence mapping and team development

？ Improving communication with other ACA departments and our Customer Centers

？ Active team work with other management team members

？ Global purchasing activities

This position reports to the General Manager ACA, within the Motor Vehicle Division.

Experience Requirements

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years purchasing experience and a proven track record.

Experience of negotiating at all levels

Experience of working within an international matrix-organization and adapt easily to different cultures

Education requirements

Degree in a business related subject / supply chain management

Fluent (spoken & written) in Chinese (Mandarin) and English

Personality Requirements

High level of drive and an open-minded personality

Customer oriented attitude

Business and result oriented attitude

Able to organise and prioritise work
