As a Product Reliability Senior Engineer (Electronics) you will be responsible for building up RA robotics China reliability lab, to have the right capacity and capability to run all kind of tests to secure product reliability from component to system level in the whole life cycle, in Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Shanghai, China.

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will develop roadmap and operation model of reliability lab based on current set up, build up and maintaining experimental capabilities, maintaining instruments, and generally managing lab facilities etc.

Your responsibilities

• Following roadmap and operation model of reliability lab to improve products reliability and support robotics business growth
• Overseeing laboratory testing, evaluation of results, and proficiency of testing
• Analyzing ABB Robotics released electronic components regarding lifetime and quality
• Building up test-equipment to stress components, determine lifetime
• Ensuring fast repetition of customer failures and find electronic weaknesses
• Revising and implementing new policies and procedures, and implementing changes to work processes
• Coordinating resource and support R&D for product maintenance activities based on design related product quality issues both from field and factory.
• Other relevant tasks from the management

Your background

• A Bachelor’s degree (or above) of major in electronics.
• Experience in lab management or equivalent experience in advanced manufacturing environment
• Experience and ability to build up scalable lab according to business needs
• Strong leadership, good at communication and coordination
• Solid experience in product lifecycle test and have rich theoretical knowhow and data analysis skill
• Solid experience of working in international environments
• Focusing on technical development and problem solving. Strong mindset of continuous improvement
