As a Procurement and Logistics Specialist, you will be part of ELDS China Local Division Procurement and Logistics team and you will be responsible for implementing effective sourcing strategies in XDR-MC for assigned category, in Electrification Business Area in Xiamen, China.
Reporting to the Procurement and Logistics Manager, you will drive project execution to support XDR-MC business objectives and deliver targets for supply chain management (SCM) operations and assigned category.
Your responsibilities
- Being responsible for daily SCM activities in XDR-MC, managing RFQs, outsourcing activities and supporting for development and execution of make vs buy plan
- Supporting sourcing strategy development and implementation in close alignment with Metal & Fabrication Category to deliver PL KPI for assigned category in XDR-MC
- Being responsible for cost reduction in XDR-MC through project development, negotiation, benchmark quotation and leveraging all sourcing tools to improve supplier competitiveness
- Being responsible for new article development and qualification in XDR-MC by collaborating with plant operation, engineering, technical center, and category team
- Leading supplier development and performance improvement in XDR and closely collaborating with plant teams to conduct regular SPE, driving improvement actions and supporting supplier OTD whenever is needed
- Working together with Quality Department to manage supplier quality issue, supplier audit and evaluation, supplier quality excellence program
- Supporting LD PL initiatives across ELDS China plants and get well connected with LD category and client factory SCM team to support sourcing strategy and business growth in MC and client companies
- Applying and implementing ABB SCM standards, tools and processes in SCM operations and ensuring and implementing ABB policy and SCM guidelines in sourcing activities
Your background
- 10+ years of experience in relevant field and sourcing or supply chain experience in direct and indirect material and services
- Good knowledge of mechanical parts and metal material
- Demonstrated ability in business analytics and financial acumen
- A bachelor’s degree or above
- Excellent communication, negotiations, interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships and support internal customers
- Fluency in English in both verbal and written
