Typical Accountabilities
- Accountable for sourcing activities within a key area of spend which is typically high level spending
- Sources materials and/or services and lead the preparation of and solicit competitive bids, quotations and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions. Leads development of evaluation approach and assessments
- Leads negotiation on agreements for the supply of both standard and complex products and services with new and existing suppliers/ Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
- Conducts commercial reviews of complex procurement requisitions and Statements of Work
- Maintains supplier relationships and resolves complex supplier issues including escalated cases(KPI evaluation)
- Managing contract management: Accountable for ongoing management of contracts as agreed with the Engagement Owner & monitoring contracting.
- Conducts commercial reviews of complex procurement requisitions and Statements of Work
- Advises on development of sourcing approaches based on Global Category Strategy and oversees the introduction of new and modified products and services with appropriate departments
- Maintains a cost reduction, cost avoidance, cost containment program and reports it via the value database
- Analyse external spending to seek of cost saving opportunity
- Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
- Managing the Claim process of suppliers in order to return the receivables effectively and improving the quality
- Managing purchasing module of ERP system with correct data and closely working with related internal parties to update data requested eg.
- Managing 3rd party risk Management: manage a number of risks associated with Third party activities.
- Reviewing current purchasing procedures and making recommendations and implementing changes for work improvements.
- Training and supervising the work of other members of the team procurement policy and delegates to aid development
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Relevant work experience, including experience within Procurement
• Oral and written fluency in Business English
• Ability to use a range of influencing techniques (Ariba, SAP, isave etc)
• Proved ability to manage multiple projects/tasks effectively
• Demonstrated success working in a team environment
• Strong analytical and financial skills
• People management experience (as applicable)
Desirable
- Professional Procurement qualification
- Acknowledge of 3rd party risk Management
- Proven experience of change management
