Job Title：Processor Application Engineer (ASIP)

Synopsys is seeking an enthusiastic and creative engineer (m/f) to strengthen its engineering team in China. We are looking for an Applications Engineer who will provide customer support for the design tools for application-specific processors (ASIPs). Specifically, our “ASIP Designer” tool-suite is used by customers across the globe in the development of systems-on-chip (SoC) for artificial intelligence, smart vision systems, wireless communication, network equipment, audio and video, hearing instruments, automotive and the like…

As Applications Engineer you will have responsibilities both in a pre-sales and a post-sales context. You will support potential customers that are evaluating ASIP Designer. You will study the application of the customer and you will develop innovative processor features for that application. You will assist customers in their use of ASIP Designer. You will investigate and answer in-depth technical questions and suggest innovative solutions on the customer’s use of ASIP Designer. You will primarily interact with the customer via e-mail and phone, but short-term travel to customers may be required occasionally.

To apply for this function you must have an MS degree in engineering. You have in-depth knowledge of processor architectures in general and of DSP architectures specifically. You have experience in the following areas: embedded software design (C and/or assembly), DSP algorithms and RTL design. You have strong problem solving skills, broad technical credibility in the above areas, and strong communication skills.
