YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Process Monitoring/Control (SPC), Statistical Analysis Intern, are to: 

• Assist senior staff in performing statistical analytics and trend analysis of manufacturing data to demonstrate process consistency and capability;
• Use statistical tools (such as JMP) to quantitatively detect problems within the drug manufacturing process, identify and document root causes;
• Identify opportunities to optimize processes that may pre-emptively increase quality reliability;
• Use knowledge management systems such as Discoverant, PI-historian, Simca and other data analytics;
• Assist with authoring of technical papers/posters; Read industry Publications.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor program;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Consistently professional with internal customers of various organizational levels;
• Ability to work effectively within a departmental team and with members of the same or higher organizational levels;
• Good organization, documentation, prioritization and scheduling skills together with an overall desire to learn;
• Basic problem solving and project management abilities together with a professional image;
• Ability to work independently and multi-task;
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office with beginner level proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Demonstrated potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, and collaboration with others and independent thought.
   

Preferred Qualifications:

• Undergraduate focus in a functional area i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, etc.;
