YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Principal Technician Maintenance- First Shift, are to:
- Be proficient in the application of a broad set of analytical and technical tools within a single BAYER technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, QA, V&V, etc.);
- Continue to develop skills and knowledge in additional BAYER technical disciplines;
- Collaborate at a peer level with lead engineers and technical supervision and is frequently sought out as an expert. May interact with external suppliers;
- Possess the analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex, multi-faceted technical problems;
- Coordinate multiple concurrent projects that may impact several departments. Lead/drive broad scale technical activities as defined in specific role profile;
- Train, mentor and coach technicians/designers and possibly engineers;
- Coordinate training for multiple departments;
- Lead or supervise designers/technicians;
- Assign tasks to other technicians or coordinate work effort of several designers/technicians.
- Provide input and may participate in recruiting and selecting teams.
- Manage a budget and participate in capital expenditure planning.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or 2-year trade/military school;
- Coordinates multiple concurrent projects that may impact several departments. Leads/drives broad scale technical activities as defined in specific role profile;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Possesses the analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex, multi-faceted technical problems;
- Ability to manage a budget and participate in capital expenditure planning
