We are looking for an engineer with experience building analysis systems using Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Pig/Hive, Redshift and similar distributed technologies. The position entails being responsible for data processing flows which includes collection, storage and processing of raw data that drives our matching algorithms.
The work involves development of systems and tools for data collection, processing & correction while overcoming the challenges of processing massive amounts of data. Stay on top of your game with professional development opportunities.
How your day to day is will look like
• Design data processing architecture for analyzing massive amounts of data in scalable ways
• Implement data crunching processes while taking into account performance, scale, availability, accuracy, monitoring and more
• Work closely with the research team to implement scalable matching algorithms
What you should bring with you
• At least 3 years of industry experience in similar positions
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or 8200/Kehiliya alumni
• Experience and knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Map/Reduce, Pig/Hive & Cascading/Scalding
• Experience with Java/Scala and the surrounding ecosystem (Gradle/Maven etc.)
• Thorough knowledge and experience with dynamic programming languages such as Python or Ruby
Location\: Azrieli Center, Tel Aviv, Israel.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
