You will be working within the Oracle Intelligent Advisor development team to enhance and extend the product to meet the needs of our customers. In this role you will:

• Work with a global team, including key staff located in Canberra Australia, to develop and maintain highly scalable application software written in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, SQL and more
• Collaborate closely with product management to understand the business needs of key customers
• Understand the components of the market leading Intelligent Advisor application, its configuration, and how to extend it to add new capabilities
• Build features that span the front to back end of the application, including user interface, web services, APIs and database interaction
• Troubleshoot issues in close collaboration with other teams within Oracle
• Adopt best practices for automated testing and continuous software delivery

 

Intelligent Advisor is used by banks, governments and other customers both large and small in over 80 different countries. Intelligent Advisor is cool tech - as a non-technical user you can describe business rules in more than 20 different languages and be confident they are going to deliver the decisions you need them to. Intelligent Advisor is recognized within Oracle as a jewel in our portfolio. Intelligent Advisor is currently going through a major period of investment to adopt latest generation technologies. Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
