Job Description

  • My Oracle Support (MOS) Provides Oracle's Global Customers with leading support services utilizing modern technology in the cloud. 
  • If you are the successful candidate for this challenging position you will be responsible for a large and complex application that receives, processes and stores uploaded diagnostic files for Oracle’s support business. Relying on your outstanding java skills and our small but dedicated team of lead developers you will quickly achieve understanding of the structure of the applications. 

You will gain a deeper understanding of the details of the application and will use your analytical skills to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug this critical enterprise sized global program. Working from use cases and requirements from our business partners you will  architect, design and implement enhancements to the product helping to provide world class support to Oracle’s external customers.


After you have achieved an in depth understanding of the application you will be asked to provide key recommendations on improving the program, including the areas of incoming flow control and management, automated problem detection and handling, and performance improvement. 


Once your recommendations have been discussed and approved within the team you will be responsible for design and implementation of your ideas. You will also be responsible for integrating with newer technologies such as JSON oriented databases.

  

Additionally you will leverage our QA and testing team to provide information allowing them to perform detailed testing and write automated test scripts to ensure future compliance and regression testing are automatic and effective.

Your day to day activities will include participating in scrum calls, working with team members across the globe. You should take pride in being a self-starter and must be willing to work independently with little oversight while delivering high quality projects on time.


  • Below skills are critical for success in this role\:

- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

- Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience, developing and delivering products and solutions in a commercial environment.

- Strong Core skills required in Java, object oriented design and development, unix and shell programming, sql, SOAP and Restful API’s.

- Experience with c, python, wlst, weblogic, docker, make and ant is a plus.

- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills are expected.

- Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with a global team. 

!|!Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
