Position Summary:

We are looking for a new colleague to:

Develop and integrate electronics designs, to control light, stepper motor control, heat management, network, power management and/or user interface for our lighting products. Engage in project work as electrical engineering resource.

As Electronics Engineer you will become part of a talented team of engineers in our Shenzhen Global Development Center (SDC) and refer to Electronics Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

The job responsibilities as an Electronics Engineer links into the development of leading products and solutions for automated, intelligent lighting. The electronics is used in stage lighting, video products, and architectural applications. In the job lies a need for attention to detail, as well as the overview and understanding of the relation between electronics design and the mechanical, optical and software design – in order to secure that we get outstanding quality in light-output, movement via stepper motors, performance in video and LED products, among other parameters that makes our products outstanding.

This entails:

• Design of schematics to control our products, for the individual product developments.

• Verification of electronic circuits, including EMC measurements in-house and external.

• Act as a role model across engineering disciplines; especially for peers, engineers and associate engineers.

• Independently lead development project engineering risk assessments and define and execute proper technical risk mitigation plans.

• Scout for input to technology and platform roadmaps across engineering disciplines.

• Provide subject matter expertise to management.

• Continuously improve design related process and documentation.

• Keep contributing to the know-how and lessons learned database.

• Generate contributions (e.g. in the form of published scientific articles) to the industry.

• Provide effort estimates for discipline related work packages to project management within product development projects.

Basic Qualifications:

• MS in engineering, e.g. Electronics/Electrical Engineer, and min. 10 years experience in development of electro-mechanical products

• BS in engineering, e.g. Electronics/Electrical Engineer, and min. 15 years experience in development of electro-mechanical products

• Experience in PCBA design and specification

• Strong foundation in EMC and experience in planning and risk mitigation in relation to EMC

• Experience in design of common power electronics

• 5+ years as technical leader on complex projects (large power supply or deeply-involvded embedded software related design is prefered)

• Sense of ownership. Responsible for the final success of the product design in criteria of time, cost and quality

• English, spoken and written
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to actively work as part of a team/project team

• Ability to connect the dots between own tasks and project/team deliverables, work proactively and independent, and engage in technical debate with other functions

• Good understanding of digital electronics

• Ability to use MathCAD, Matlab, SIMetrix, PSpice, Simulink or similar simulation tools

• Working experience within global project teams in EU or US-based companies is perfered.

• Ability to work in Cadence and/or Mentor Graphics

• Knowledge of LED driver technology or digital Switching Mode Power Supply
