This power electronics specialist role is based in the HV DC/DC & OBC productline that will support the rapid growth of the eMobility business. Primary role of the position is to design, develop and test electrical and electronics sub-systems forpower electronic products for hybrid electric and electric vehicles for broad range of power level, voltage level. In this role you will be responsible for : • Design, develop and test electrical and electronics sub-systems for power electronic products. The sub-systems include passive components, active components, filters, chokes, control boards, gate drive boards, power supplies, protection circuits, busbars, sensors etc. • Establish sub-system level requirements, perform design analysis and simulations, generate design and test reports, DFMEA’s, design validation plans & reports, standard operating procedures and user manuals. • Partner with cross discipline functional teams for functional safety, thermal, packaging, EMC, FMEA, DFA/DFM • Execute design and development activities in a self-directed manner, independently perform assignments with minimal guidance, and align activities to project milestones. • Develop and launch new products, using Eaton's stage-gate process for on time, on budget, and to project scope. • Establish and maintain a collaborative working relationship with key stakeholders, customers and suppliers. • Lead department growth initiatives, establish efficient processes, bring in new tools, and mentor other engineers. Qualifications Bachelor or Master in Electrical or Mechatronic engineering 5 years experience minimum in a similar role, preferably in the automotive or similar industries Able to work individually and in a multidisciplinary team Innovative thinker and problem solver Good attention to detail Good communicator in French and English Flexible and adaptable Able to travel within France What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
