Overview Siemens Power Technologies International (PTI) is seeking a training courses coordinator to join our Power Academy group part of the Siemens Smart Infrastructure Division. This position will be accountable for the coordination of training-related activities performed by a team of professionals. The Power Academy Course coordinator will be working in Schenectady, NY and/or remotely. The core responsibilities of the Power Academy Course Coordinator include the coordination of in-person and online technical training courses and related activities for employees and customers. The position will constantly monitor training efficiency and effectiveness and derives and proposes training improvements. Attention to detail is a success factor. The position will also: Perform and execute a defined range of administrative tasks related to education activities according to predetermined guidelines and procedures. Plan, organize, and direct learning activities. Takes over projects to design new learning programs, by involving and discussing content and format of the courses with specialists and appropriate service providers. Organizes all administrative necessities to set up the program, both on e-learning and on-site learning measures. What will you do? Implements Service training guidelines, methods and tools and ensures training performance standards met at all times. Implements the technical training program, by planning and coordinating the training activities, and the resources needed. May coordinate adaptation or development of course material or training courses. Cooperates with customers to design training activities according to customer needs and may adapt training program. Organize training logistics, dates, invitation letters, providing information to students Operate and maintain LMS (Learning Management System) Day to day student liaison. Acts as first level escalation instance, in order to settle upcoming issues regarding service training. Leads and/or coordinates a group of qualified training professionals. Identifies customers needs. Evaluates and obtains training programs and materials from external vendors. Completes development of new course materials. Prepares cost calculation of trainings. Performs trainings or organizes and supervises trainings services for clients. Reviews feedback and modifies/revises course materials as instructed. May provide technical support in case of complaints Provide support to project teams as required Ensure compliance in completion and delivery of reports What will you need to succeed? 3-5 years of experience in training and education fields. Great English written and spoken communication skills are required Proven track record in training project operations, including resource planning and tracking budgets against actuals Knowledge and experience of digital training platforms and online training delivery methods, such as GoTo Training, Vimeo and Microsoft Teams is desirable Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite is required This position requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless they are granted a medical or religious exemption.
