YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

For the MS&T Analytical Methods EU team, we are looking for a motivated and dependable PostDoc (m/f/d) to supplement our analytical team.

In this role you will have the opportunity to deploy innovative analytical technologies used to monitor, characterize and control advanced therapeutic medicinal products (ATMP) and biologics. Self-motivated, you work independently, prioritize and schedule your own tasks, and actively drive your projects to success. In detail you will:
 

• Propose, scout, develop, implement and troubleshoot analytical methods for innovative biotechnological processes
• Characterize, compare and implement commonly used analytical technologies for testing of cell and gene therapy samples
• Plan, coordinate and evaluate method implementation and document/report project progress
• Interface with biotechnology process scientists, experts from analytical development and QC department to discuss and align analytical method development and implementation
• Work together with qualified laboratory personnel
• Help on the establishment of an analytical laboratory for cell and gene therapy
• Publish and present project findings internally, at international conferences, and in scientific journals

WHO YOU ARE
 

• PhD in biological sciences or comparable with demonstrated experience in analytical methods for cell and gene therapy (e.g. ddPCR, Flow Cytometry, HPLC, CE)
• Hands-on experience with developing and implementing new analytical procedures
• Ability to identify problems and to tackle them in a solution-oriented manner
• Precise and thorough working methods and great quality awareness
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to an international and dynamic multidisciplinary team
• Keen to connect and discuss with scientists, experts and engineers from commercial production, biological development, analytical development, quality control and academia, and build a bridge between these areas
• Excellent communication and teamworking skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken; German is considered a plus
   

This is a fixed-term contract for 24 months.
