Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (Clinical Research with Chinese Herbal Medicine) (2 positions) (PR0091/20-21)

The appointee will participate in research projects relating to cutting-edge new drug development with Chinese herbal medicine.

Job Duties:

• To conduct clinical research (patient recruitment and intervention) for gastrointestinal diseases, including inflammatory bowel diseases and functional constipation, with Chinese herbal medicine;
• To prepare the manuscript and research grants proposals;
• To supervise junior research assistants; and
• To undertake any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• A PhD degree in clinical trials/studies/investigations or related disciplines with relevant research experience;
• A registered Chinese medicine practitioner in Hong Kong;
• A certificate of Good Clinical Practice;
• Experience in a large-scale clinical research with Chinese herbal medicine would be advantageous; and
• Organised, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  
  

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
